Once Upon A Forest
Rabbitry
My mom and I raise many rabbits in southern, Rockingham county, NH. We have many different breeds to choose from as pets or show. We have been raising rabbits since 2006. And my mom also raised rabbits for a few years when she was younger. We are members of ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association) and I was a member of Granite State Youth RBA and Rockingham County 4H (until 2013). We are now also members of the American Lop Club of America!
We specialize in English Lops & Jersey Woolies,
but also commonly have some mixes both dwarf and commercial!
(in the mixes there could be netherland dwarf, lionhead, mini rex, jersey wooly, new zealand, holland lop, flemish giant, creme d'argent, mini lop, ect.. I'll try to let you know every breed that is in your bunny!)
We have so many breeds because it is hard to choose which breed is best and then with all the varieties. Because they're handled from birth, most of our bunnies are very friendly so you can hold them without being scratched or bitten. Although we show rabbits pedigree is not #1 priority to me because you can have a great rabbit with no pedigree or a bad (show wise) rabbit with a pedigree. So some of my breeds are good show rabbits, but all great pets.
Our name, Once Upon a Forest, comes from a movie that has many critters whos habitat is threatened by humans. We don't use any chemical fertilizers in our yard(we use lots of bunny poop), and we recycle as much as we can. We also live in a neighborhood with streets named after the Sherwood Forest so the name seemed to fit.
